Decorating Methods

Below is a list of different decorating options that can be used on promotional products. Some imprinting methods are limited to certain product types. If you have any questions, give us a call @800.497.7765 or email us @ info@authenticpromotions.com

Debossing

Debossing uses a custom-made die to press your logo directly into a material's surface. Debossed logos have a subtle, yet sophisticated, appearance. Debossing is ideal on leather and vinyl products. Color Stamp and color fill are possible options for debossing.

Embroidery

Embroidery is a method of machine stitching your design onto a fabric surface. Embroidery is ideal for upscale items such as jackets and bags. If you choose embroidery as your imprint method, you logo will need to be put into an embroidery format, which is called digitizing.

Engraving/Etching/Laser Engraving

Your design is cut out of a hard surface, usually glass, metal, or wood. Your design appears as the material color beneath the surface.

Medallions/Metal Stamping “Steel Threads”

A custom-made die is used to stamp your design onto a metal disk or plate. The plate is then affixed to a product’s surface with a strong adhesive.

Common Color Choices:

Matte Silver, Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Pearl Nickel. Matte Black Fill available on any color except pearl nickel.

Molded Rubber Patches/”Logo 3d”

The molded rubber patch decorating option offers a high-impact, raised, dimensional look and comes in a variety of patch colors and shapes. The patches are then applied to a product's surface with a strong adhesive.

Pad Printing

Pad printing is a wet ink transfer decorating process used to print on irregular or curved surfaces. Most promotional products like mugs, pens, and golf balls are pad printed.

Screen Printing

Screen printing is a method of applying ink to a surface through a stencil supported on a fine mesh of fabric stretched tightly over a frame. Screen printing is most commonly used to decorate t-shirts, but is also used on some other promotional products.

Stamping/Hot Stamping/Foil Stamping/Color Stamping

A custom made die is used to apply your design with colored foil to a material's surface. Stamping is ideal on leather and vinyl products.

Sublimation/Dye Sublimation

A printing process using small heating elements to evaporate pigments from a carrier film, depositing these smoothly onto a surface. Sometimes used to reproduce full color graphics and photos onto items like mousepads, mugs, or nylon banners.
